I was born on June 28, 1974 into a family of educators. My farther, Ivan Adamchuk was a faculty member in the Department of Tractors and Automobiles at the National Agricultural University of Ukraine. My mother, Nina Adamchuk, teaches biology in a Kyiv high school. I am married to Kateryna who is a graduate of Philology Department (Ukrainian and English majors), Kharkiv National University. We have a son Petro and a daughter Polina. Outside the University, I like doing things that fulfill my desire to learn beauty and diversity of the world. I enjoy meeting new friends and visiting new places. I try to record my thoughts and feelings in the form of poems and songs, and share those with my friends. I also enjoy outdoor activities and sports, especially racquetball.
