Invest in the Biological Systems Engineering Department: 3 academic majors, many ways to give.

The Biological Systems Engineering Department is grateful for the financial support from alumni, corporations, foundations, and friends who help us enhance our programs, facilities, and the needed technology to benefit our students. Your continuing support with scholarships for current students and with the following areas of development is greatly appreciated.

Create your own fund
Establishing your own fund is the ultimate way to make a difference and enables the department to stay in the top tier of nationally ranked programs. We prepare students for constantly changing career fields while providing the best possible education for future professionals in engineering, processing, and manufacturing. Your support enhances students' experiences through relevant and challenging educational programs, leading-edge research, and the transfer of knowledge. With your help, we will continue to prepare competent and intelligent graduates for the fast-paced challenges in their career choices.

Student Support

  • Student Commons
Endowed and expendable funds would assist in the development of areas where students can gather to study and solve problems.
  • Biological Engineering Teaching Lab

Endowed and expendable funds raised would support the creation of a Biological Engineering Teaching Lab. This center would serve undergraduate students by providing a learning environment for students to meet and work together on assignments or group projects.

Program Development

  • Department Program Support

The Biological Systems Engineering Department takes pride in its high teaching standards and the development of its students.  The quality of a program is measured by the quality of the faculty, who equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in an ever-changing world.  Endowed and expendable funds assist the department in maintaining a high level of excellence by allowing the Department to respond to current opportunities and needs.

  • Nebraska Tractor Test Museum

In 2007, the operation of the Lester F. Larsen Nebraska Tractor Test Museum was transferred to the Biological Systems Engineering Department.  A gift to this fund would allow the Department to address future opportunities and needs of this one-of-a kind facility.
