Finish: 10th place
Winners of: Serviceability Award, The Campbell Scientific Award,
and Design Report Award. The X-Team also won for its Design Report.
The
Tractor: Different widths on the axles for better traction, and
can reach speeds up to 19 mph. 14 gauge C-channel frame, 4 x 4 drive,
and improving the power flow of the 2004 Parallel Hydraulic-Mechanical
(PHM) transmission were some of this year's accomplishments. Maintained
adaptability for a consumer market with potential add-ons, such as
a cargo box or small snow plow blade.

The
Tractor: The manually adjustable CVT transmission was developed
further for the 2004 tractor, with the end development of an Infinitely
Variable Transmission (IVT). A clutch for the transmission was also
developed by the team. An adaptable chassis was also designed to accommodate
a variety of objects for the back of the tractor, such as a flat box,
a dump/cargo box, a utility box or a small sprayer tank and booms.

While
finishing fourth was a great achievement for the team, they
felt very honored to receive the Sportsmanship Award, which
is an award chosen by the other teams.

The
Tractor: Front engine, 4 x 4 tractor with the driving wheels located
at the four corners of the frame. C-channel frame rails were used
for the frame, and a three-speed trans axle via a manually controlled
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) were used in the design.
