East Campus Trail Cleanup

When: June 8th, 2022, 8:00 am – 10:00 AM

Where: Holdrege, pollinator area along Dead Man’s Run

UNL's East Campus is a highlight of our state with beautiful, natural areas that exhibit some of the diverse environments our state boasts. Meandering through the campus is Dead Man’s Run, a natural part of the local watershed. This area plays host to a number of Nebraska’s native plants and animals and is a shining example of our beautiful campus. However, the rain and winds have brought in large amounts of trash along the run that may impact local wildlife and plants.

To combat this buildup of trash on our campus there will be a voluntary cleanup of East Campus, starting at the area indicated on the map near 48th and Holdrege streets. Please park in the designated section or walk in if possible.

This is a natural area and is not maintained like a typical landscape. If you plan to attend we highly recommend close-toed shoes, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Supplies for the cleanup will be provided. To ensure there are enough supplies, please fill out this short registration form: https://go.unl.edu/vztc. Include email address in case of event cancellation.
