Graduate Research Assistant (PhD) Announcement

 Position description:

 The Irrigation & Digital Ag Lab at Panhandle Research and Extension Center (PHREC), Department of Biological System Engineering (BSE), University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the group in Summer/Fall 2021. The successful candidate will work on research related to irrigation management of row crops (corn, dry edible beans, or sugar beet), building a research and extension platform using variety of sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) telemetry, and analysis of yield data from commercial farms.

 Qualifications:

 Students with a background in Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science are encouraged to apply. A M.S. degree, good written and verbal communication skills are required. Students with experiences in conducting field research, working with sensors, and/or publication record are preferred.
