To keep East Campus beautiful, there will be a voluntary trash cleanup event March 7, 8-10 a.m.

This area is a highlight of our state with natural areas exhibiting some of the diverse environments Nebraska boasts. Meandering through the campus is Dead Man’s Run, a natural part of the local watershed.

This area plays host to a number of Nebraska’s native plants and animals and is a shining example of our beautiful campus. However, the rain and winds have brought in large amounts of trash along the run that may impact local wildlife and plants.

The voluntary cleanup event will take place starting at the area indicated on the map. Please park in the designated section or walk in if possible, and meet in the area squared off in red.

This natural area is not maintained like a typical landscape. If you plan to attend, we highly recommend close-toed shoes, long pants, a long sleeved shirt and sunscreen. Muck boots are a plus!

Supplies will be provided. To ensure enough cleanup supplies, please fill out the short registration form: https://go.unl.edu/vn95
